* The New York Times magazine has a huge story about how young gay couples are getting married. Oh to be young with so many choices!
“For many young gay men today, settling down in a relationship in their 20s — or getting married if they live in Massachusetts — will feel like a very natural thing to do,” says Joe Kort, a psychotherapist and the author “10 Smart Things Gay Men Can Do to Improve Their Lives.”

When I was in my 20s, in 1980 it also felt like the natural thing to do. 28 years later it still feels like the most natural thing I’ve ever done.

Well, I waited for a decade or two, but I have to say that photo now looks very much like Saturday morning at our house.
Substituting, however, aging tees for the cravat and tie, albeit with dog and kicky expressions very much in place! And it’s good.

Of course we see it as the best thing to do. Sorry but there is nothing more depressing than seeing middle aged men going to the clubs, still drinking themselves to death, still doing drugs and hooking up in in corners I wouldn’t even piss in. Not to mention the risk factor of HIV and other STD’s. All night orgies used to sound like a good idea but the reality of it is just gross. I say that with a lot of disappointment.
