OK, I know this is not about dogs but my other passion is fashion. I <3 designer clothes. Even tho I knew mens wear was being shown with a slim profile ie: HEDI SLIMANE. It took THE SARTORIALIST to introduce me to designer THOM BROWNE and his take on the 60’s shrunken Brooks Bros. aesthete. (Click the small photo’s above of the designer himself in both his day and formal look.) Personally I would never try to carry this off. But I might shorten my jacket a bit and wear my pants without any break. A younger guy could possibly put together something close in vintage from the Salvation Army. That is unless you have the $3000 his suit’s start at. Classic men’s wear designer ALAN FLUSSER was quoted as saying “to charge that much for a jacket that is deliberately short is irresponsible” but perhaps he’s upset that Browne was named menswear designer of 2006 by the COUNCIL OF FASHION DESIGNERS OF AMERICA. I liked PEE WEE HERMAN first. And don’t you love the Nash Rambler?

[…] * Designer Thome Browne says longer jackets and shorter shorts next year. Uh huh. See my original posts about Thom here and here. […]
